Differrent types of love defined by others:-

• Liking - is intimacy alone, without passion or commitment. It characterizes most friendships. Often involves some level of intimacy, but without passion, and without an enduring commitment.
• Infatuation - is passion alone, without intimacy or commitment. It involves a great deal of physiologicl and emotional arousal, and a heightened level of sexual desire, but without emotional closeness to the person or an enduring commitment.
• Empty love - commitment alone, without passion or intimacy. Might apply to arranged marriages.
• Romantic love - combines passion and intimacy, but without the commitment. This is the kind of lvoe people mean when they talk about being "in love." It is often experienced as intense and joyful.
• Companionate love - combines intimacy and commitment, but without passion. May be applied to long-term couples who have gradually decreased in their passion for one another.
• Fatuous love - involves passion and commitment, without intiamcy. Applies to a "whirlwind" courtship where two people meet, fall passionately in love, and get married, all within a few weeks, before they even have time to know each other well.
• Consumate love - integrates all three aspects of love into the ultimate love relationship. This is the kind of love that represents the ideal for most people.

Passion can also be used to refer to various forms of emotional suffering, and is often used in this context in Stoicism and some denominations of Buddhism.In Christianity, The Passion refers to the suffering of Jesus leading up to the Crucifixion.

• passion - strong feeling or emotion:-A mental state that arises spontaneously rather than through conscious effort and is often accompanied by physiological changes; a feeling: the emotions of joy, sorrow, reverence, hate, and love.
  

• passion - intense passion or emotion :-When any feeling or emotion completely masters themind, we call it a passion; as, a passion for music, dress, etc.; especially is anger (when thus extreme) called passion as having lost its self-control, and become the. The mind, in such cases, is considered passive instrument of the feeling in question.
